New mixed use project to be built in East Atlanta Village
The Marbut is a new construction, Mixed Use project slated to be built in East Atlanta Village in 2020-2021. The project is sited on the same parcel and alongside the existing 12,600 sf brick building at 512 Flat Shoals Ave SE, Atlanta GA 30316 originally constructed by the Marbut & Minor General Mercantile Store.
Developed by Pellerin Real Estate (PRE), the site was acquired in late 2019 and ground broken in November 2020 on a new 25,600 SF that will include 6,000 SF of ground level commercial space and twenty one bedroom apartments on the second and third floor.

The Marbut &
The Minor
The Marbut is part of Pellerin’s broader vision for the prominent site that will be named “The Marbut & The Minor”. The namesake pays homage to the Marbut & Minor Mercantile Store which constructed the original building in the early 20th century. The new Building will be named “The Marbut” while the existing Building will officially be renamed ”The Minor” upon redevelopment in 2021. While Pellerin Real Estate has not yet released renovation plans for the existing building; it will retain its historic character and maintain the primary elements of its structure & aesthetics.
